What is Oeko-Tex® Standard 100?
The Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety.
Every component of an article must comply with the required criteria if the product is to bear the Oeko-Tex® label. Testing is conducted by independent member institutes of the OEKO-TEX® Association.
Class I is the strictest category, applying to products for babies and toddlers up to 3 years of age. Products meeting this standard can be safely used in direct contact with sensitive skin.
Why It Matters for TTR
Thermal transfer ribbons used for printing care labels come into indirect contact with the wearer's skin. For children's clothing and undergarments, it's essential that the ink transferred from the ribbon is free from harmful substances.
